The history and personal reflections of Rothwell United Church members. Rothwell United has always been a dynamic and welcoming church. The congregation that grew out of a Sunday School
already had a Women’s Association and choir before it was officially
launched in February 1958. For its first twenty years of its existence,
Rothwell United expanded with a wave of new housing developments that saw the congregation and Sunday School face rapid growth necessitating extra
seating in the sanctuary and the use of the Fairfield and Gloucester
High School for Sunday School classes.
Fifty years of annual reports, written articles on various groups and activities, memories and photos were collected by Richard Ballhorn. Evelyn Budd, our communications chairperson, undertook the design and production of the book. This 108-page remembrance book is a treasure to behold.
